Practice Talk Series –  A series of online talks made by artists and arts professionals which will address different areas of arts practice with children and young people.

The next talk is:

 

“The Writing Artist” by Jan Svenungsson: 12th May, 1-2pm

Jan Svenungsson is a Swedish visual artist based in Berlin. He is interested in how the two alternative forms of expression (writing and visual art) may complement – or clash with – each other. He is the author of "An Artist's Text Book" which addresses practical, as well as theoretical, concerns regarding the role of text in the life of the visual artist today. In his talk he will talk about his view of "The Writing Artist"."

Dancer and Choreographer Ríonach Ní Néill discusses two works that involved children in different ways: See Saw - an interactive work for family groups; and Between Earth, Sky and Home - a work created with professional dancers and young people aged 8-16 years.
